10 things to do when you're supposed to be studying AKA 10 ways to procrastinate

I am a procrastinator. I admit it. If there was a Procrastinators Anonymous, I'll be the first one in line to join it. I wait till the very last minute before I really start on my work, even then, I still am distracted and am probably doing a few things at the same time.

So, here is a list of 10 things to do when you're supposed to be doing your work.

In no particular order,

10.
Read "nonsense" (as my gf puts it) on the internet. A good place to start is by going to a site like digg.com and just click away.

9.
Start reading a non-academic book which I probably won't put down because it's definitely more interesting than what i'm supposed to do.

8.
Watch a show. It could be a few episodes of your favourite series or a movie that you wanted to watch for a long time but you just couldn't find the time.

7.
Youtube. Nuff said.

6.
Start sms-ing random people in your phonebook and see who will carry on a conversation with you.

5.
Watch some porn and erm... do whatever that comes naturally.........

erm... That is NOT my collection.....

4.
Catch up with some friends through msn. Start talking to a friend whom you haven't talked to since high school. Now's the best time to catch up on all the lost years.

3.
Invite some fellow procrastinators over to play some poker or mahjong.

2.
Call a friend and hang on the phone till your ears burn.

1.
Update a blog that your friend has been pestering to update.

There you have it. 10 things that will surely occupy your mind so that you won't feel guilty because you are not doing your work. Feel free to add to the list.

Can you tell where this file is from?

I was running short on stationery so i went to the local departmental store to pick up some stuff. Hmm...just my luck, there was no sale!
So, as with most people, i chose the 'reasonably priced' items (fine, call it cheap...). One of the items included this file. And such items are synonymous with China….or am I just being stereotypical to think that the cheapest bloody things comes from the world’s largest republic???

Well, apparently not :-) And here's why...

1) The glaringly obvious Chinese letters is a giveaway but let’s pretend we don’t know its
Chinese.

2) So the next thing to look out for is the ‘product description’
Recently, China has been under a lot of international pressure because its rapid
development came at the cost of the environment. So this file is an attempt to
show the world that they too can be pro environment, by producing this file from
recyclable material….but someone forgot to hire the English teacher....again!

But I’m not complaining….cause I can tell everyone I have a ‘handsome file’

3) "Green Dove Award" sounded cheesy enough...you know how they print all kinds of
stuff to get you to buy their product.
Fortunately, the award does exist.

Ps. Other helpful pointers :

1) After consuming certain dairy products, if you develop lower back pain and
urinary problems you might wanna check where that milk is coming from!

2) If your house burns down after installing that very ‘affordable’ chandelier
supposedly from Italy, you know where it really came from ;-)

Cheers.

Chop Down the Clamps!

Guess wut....
Noto gonna give it a start for the first myth that came in for centuries i think....
so... having it to be pass from generations of chinese people...
guess it's not a so much a myth than a real fact that really works...
Also having a Banana & a black partner....
I would not think they should know this lil' trick bout' removing sands from mussels..

Although it's stated in any online recipe...
it's just words for anybody....
so here's the trick to remove sands from within mussels or any clamp....

According to a online recipe i found..
Just soak them for 20 minutes with tap water... or better still... use your diamond or RO water....
The clamp would breath in the water & filter out the sands from within....
so... to hasten the process...
you are to put a big chopping knife into the water...
i seriously do not know the chemistry behind it....
& that's the reason I'm writing this entry what... haha

So did it work?

Prior to soaking them... i just took out a few & boil them...
& yes... there is sand as i chew them up...

Just look at the bottom of the pot....

After that.... i soak them for half an hour with the knife in it.... & kept them in the fridge for my dinner preparation.... & also take a look at the bottom of the pail....

This is what i had for dinner.....

& seriously.....
There isn't any trace of sand inside....
& gosh it's delicious!!

PS: both my partners didn't get to taste it due to personal reasons...
I still have plenty of it in the freezer right now... we shall come together the next time kay?

I hate titles

I was not consulted about this blog. Noto just assumed I will agree to it and sent me an invitation. haha. But it seems like a cool idea, so, we'll see where this goes. We certainly have a lot of chemistry when the 3 of us talk. Lets see how this works out on a blog.

Till my next post... (whenever that might be)

Over to you dhee.
